New Jersey State Records maintains information about the following subjects: Criminal Records, Court Records, Vital Records and State Background Checks, including the number of over 80 million public records.

New Jersey state records have been gathered dating from as far back as the year 1664 and include information from 21 counties, thereby ensuring New Jersey abides by the commitment of the United States of America to remain a “fair and just” society for all.
